Legal Aspects and Exploitation of Free Software" is a fundamental course to understand free software and to be able to exploit it -in its phases of creation, distribution, integration and final use- in a secure and lawful way. Therefore, concepts and systems of legal protection of the software will be considered - author's copyright, patents, brands and secrets, and especially the legal mechanisms that are subjacent to the copyleft and ¿open code": the free licences, to acquire general knowledge of these subjects and skills to put this knowledge into practice in specific contexts. This module aims to offer the knowledge and necessary tools to participants to perceive the problems that can arise in this context, anticipating and resolving the majority of legal doubts that can be posed, as well as evaluating the legal risks and establishing the corresponding strategies on your own and making well-founded decisions.
